Bubble Mask?
Bubble Masks have been trending pretty high over the past few months and I definitely wanted to give them a shot. Sadly, though, the K-Beauty bubble mask that's been floating around the Internet is from a brand that does not have a we-don't-test-on-animals guarantee. For this reason, I was thrilled to see that e.l.f. released a bubble mask.
I feel that e.l.f has really stepped up their product quality lately. There are still some misses, but overall, the brand is becoming more consistent. They've recently released a whole new skincare line with cleansers, serums, masks, and moisturizers and I'm interested in trying everything. The new skin care line ranges from $8-$24 and run a bit more than their normal e.l.f prices, but I still think that these products are a good deal for the amount of product that you get.
The e.l.f. Hydrating Bubble Mask runs for $14 for 1.69 fl. oz. The frosted glass packaging is consistent with the rest of the skin care line and there is a top pump feature for the product to be released from the jar. You'll need to work quickly when applying this to your face. When the air hits the mask, it will start oxidizing and it will get to bubbling! The directions say that this will bubble up within 5-10 minutes. Mine took about 5 and became extremely uncomfortable.
And by uncomfortable, I mean it tickled my face like hell. It did, though, give me a real good laugh because as the mask puffed up, I found I looked more and more ridiculous. Once the mask became beyond foamy I massaged the product into my skin and, per directions, rinsed it off my face.
My skin did feel slightly smoother once I rinsed the mask off, but it wasn't beyond life changing. I would recommend this mask just for the adorable factor, to be honest. I'd give this mask a 4/5
